About the Project

Cooking Resilience is an Erasmus+ Capacity Building project in Vocational Education and Training (VET) that aims to strengthen the capacity of Culinary VET in Ukraine as a driver for resilience, inclusion, and economic reconstruction.

Framework

Following the full-scale invasion in 2022, Ukraine’s VET system is undergoing significant transformation to respond to economic disruption, labour market shifts, and the need for rapid reskilling and upskilling. In this context, Cooking Resilience supports the modernisation of Culinary VET by strengthening teacher competences, aligning training with labour market needs, and promoting cooperation between education providers, industry, and public stakeholders.

Objectives

To achieve this, Cooking Resilience works on three main objectives:

Improving the pedagogical and technical competences of Culinary VET teachers, aligning them with labour market needs to enhance learners’ employability.

Developing a collaborative network of public and private stakeholders to ensure updated curricula, promote apprenticeships, and facilitate job opportunities.

Strengthening cooperation between Ukrainian and European institutions to support accessible, high-quality VET systems.

Target Users:

The project primarily targets VET teachers and trainers in culinary arts, as key actors in improving training quality and responsiveness. It also benefits VET learners, with particular attention to internally displaced people (IDPs) and war veterans, supporting their access to skills development and employment opportunities in a changing socio-economic context.
